USM Honors College, University Libraries, The Center for Digital Humanities, and The Center for Black Studies invite everyone to the 4th Annual Frederick Douglass Day Transcribe-a-Thon, Wed., Feb. 14 between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. in Cook Library, Room 207.
This event honors Frederick Douglass’ birthday and provides students, faculty, and community members the opportunity to transcribe Frederick Douglass’ papers held by the Library of Congress so that they are digitized and searchable. Individuals who participate are actively helping ensure that Douglass’ work is available and accessible to anyone interested in studying the famed abolitionist.
