As a volunteer, you’ll work directly with K–12 students to facilitate hands-on activities to discover how the power of real-world systems! No prior STEM experience is needed. On Saturday, September 12, 2026, we are hosting our Inaugural Jefferson Parish STEM FEST Participants will engage with interactive STEM stations and other hands-on demonstrations. These events only work when caring hands show up to guide them. We're calling on our professional volunteers and college volunteers to help us staff the event and pour into the young minds of Jefferson Parish and surrounding areas. No experience required — just energy, heart, and a willingness to inspire the next generation of innovators. STATION REVIEW: 8:30 AM - During this time volunteers will remain positioned at their station to continue getting familiar with their activity. Instructional cards and the STEM NOLA/ STEM Global Action staff will be ready to help! PROGRAM INTRODUCTION: 9:00 AM - Dr. Mackie or another member of our executive team will kick off the program with opening remarks before releasing the attendees to explore.
