Description

Fair Housing Testers

The Federal Fair Housing Act ensures that people of all races, colors, religions, national origins, genders, familial statuses, and disabilities are treated fairly when seeking homes.

The purpose of this volunteer opportunity is to determine, in an objective manner, how an entity, institution, or individual is serving home seekers. You can test from your home - it is similar to secret shopping. You will be calling places and people over the phone until HUD says otherwise. There are no set hours or days, although tests are normally run during the week days. This is an ongoing activity.

The contact person is Clarence Williams, Fair Housing Test Coordinator.  Please text him if you would like to sign up for this opportunity. His number is 601-329-1053.

You will need to complete an application before being accepted as a volunteer.
