Who We Are
Advocating for abused & neglected children in Hancock, Harrison & Stone Counties.
What We Do
The mission of CASA of South Mississippi is to provide specially selected and trained community volunteers to advocate for abused and neglected children in the pursuit of safe and permanent homes.A CASA volunteer advocates for the best interest of an abused or neglected child by gathering and researching background information to provide a recommendation based on facts to the Judge so a sound decision can be determined on permanent or temporary placement of the child. It is always the goal of the courts and CASA for reunification whenever possible. However, all recommendations are based on what is in the best interest of the child.
