Who We Are
The program is led by Nadine Amaya, local gifted education teacher, who has 28 years of teaching experience and is passionate about robotics. She has been named 2018 Mississippi VEX IQ Elementary Teacher of the Year and 2017 VEX IQ World STEM Hall of Fame Teacher of the Year. She is excited to share robotics to even more children through Pine Belt Robotics Academy and Enrichment Center. A team of teacher is joining us to offer additional enrichment programs and special events.
What We Do
Pine Belt Robotics Academy and Enrichment Center is an after school and summer robotics enrichment program for children in grades Kindergarten-8. The program focuses on thinking, collaborating and building robots through STEM robotics challenges. VEX IQ curriculum is used to help children engage their minds…bot by bot. Additionally, enrichment classes are now being offered for students in grades K-12 and include a variety of themes: American Sign Language, Culture, Writing, History/Geography, LEGOs and STEAM.
