Who We Are
The Piney Woods Conservation Group is a nonprofit conservation organization in the Pine Belt. Its mission is to conserve, promote and protect the open spaces and green places of environmental or scenic significance in the Pinebelt (Forrest, Lamar, Perry, Jones and Covington Counties).
What We Do
The Piney Woods Conservation Group partnered with Visit Hattiesburg and several other stakeholders to launch Pinebelt Blueways. The Pinebelt Blueways consists of several canoe/kayak routes along the Leaf and Bouie Rivers stretching from Jones County to Perry County – more than 50 miles of beautiful, scenic river for you to explore! What are you waiting for? There’s nature to be discovered on the Pinebelt Blueways!
